Three Minute Thesis Information Session

The session will also involve review of a sample 3MT presentation with group evaluation as well as allow participants an opportunity to conceptualize their own 3MT presentation. Creating a Teaching Statement and Portfolio

Participants will assess their own teaching style and be able to communicate important aspects to a search committee via a teaching statement.  During this workshop, participants will learn how to prepare a competitive application package for teaching-oriented careers. Participants will work through several activities to communicate how they conceptualize learning, how they envision their teaching style and how to align claims made about teaching with documentation in a teaching portfolio. Dissertation Writing Boot Camp

Boot camp is a week-long opportunity for students currently writing dissertations to set writing goals, practice disciplined writing habits, learn new strategies, and connect with other dissertation writers. Each day will include a writing strategy or activity led by a Writing Center staff member and several blocks of uninterrupted writing time. Debriefing and informal conversations with fellow graduate students over lunch, which will be provided. REGISTRATION will open Sept 1.
